Changelog

Release history for MiniRetro.

Rename retroboards & initials avatars

09/09/2026
  • Board titles can now be renamed from the dashboard and from the board itself — via a small pencil icon that stays out of the way until you need it.
  • If you haven’t uploaded a profile photo, MiniRetro now shows an avatar generated from your initials.

Board invite emails

16/08/2026

When a new retroboard is created, active team members get an email with a direct link — and if you’re not signed in yet, you’ll be asked to log in first and then land on that board.

  • Creating a retroboard emails every active team member with the board name, team, and link.
  • Opening a board link while logged out sends you to login, then back to that board.

Anonymous profiles & unique IDs

16/08/2026

Choose whether teammates can discover you by name, alias, or email — or stay anonymous and share only your unique ID when someone needs to add you to a team.

  • Every account gets a unique 4-character ID.
  • Profiles are public by default; you can switch to anonymous in your profile settings.
  • Anonymous users no longer appear in team member search by name, alias, or email — only an exact unique ID match works.
  • When you are anonymous, your unique ID stays visible in the header so you can copy and share it quickly.
  • Registration now explains the public default and where to change it.

Mood history, emojis & privacy

16/08/2026

See how your team’s mood evolves over time, express yourself with emojis on retro cards, and find a clearer privacy policy.

  • Dashboard mood history: sparklines and trend indicators show how your team’s sprint mood changes over boards.
  • Add emojis to retro card messages with a built-in emoji picker.
  • The participant filter on a board uses a stable shuffled order so the list is less predictable.
  • Privacy policy page updated.

Action point assignees & design refresh

29/07/2026

Action points can now be assigned to teammates and surface on your dashboard, alongside a refreshed landing page, dashboard, and smoother logged-in flow.

  • Action points can optionally be assigned to a team member.
  • Action points assigned to you appear on your dashboard.
  • Restyled dashboard and landing page, including empty-state polish and slide-in effects.
  • When you are already logged in, you go straight to the dashboard.
  • Login is no longer case-sensitive for email/username.
  • Various visual tweaks across the app.

Sprint mood barometer

28/07/2026

Each retro board now includes a lightweight mood barometer so the team can share how the sprint felt — and see the collective pulse at a glance.

  • Rate how you felt this sprint on a 1–10 scale between a frown and a smile.
  • Your personal score stays editable until the board is read-only (Closed or Obsolete).
  • A colored team-average bar updates live as people vote; non-voters are not counted.
  • Dashboard board cards show the mood average and vote count for a quick overview.

Board polish — editing, ambiance, and UX

27/07/2026

Several improvements to make retro boards clearer, more interactive, and more engaging.

  • The delete button now uses a recognizable trash icon instead of a cross.
  • Messages on a retro board can now be edited after posting.
  • Retro boards feature ambiance animations such as confetti.
  • The feedback form is pre-filled when you are signed in.
  • Hovering the vote and like buttons shows who has already voted or liked a card.

MiniRetro 1.0 — go live

30/05/2026
